E-Safety / Online

As a parent you will know how important the internet has become in your child's daily life - they use it to learn, play and socialise. It allows your child to express themselves in a creative way and provides them with a digital world full of opportunity.

However, the technology your child uses every day can seem a bit daunting and you might worry about the risks your child can face online - such as bullying, contact from strangers or the possibility of them seeing illegal or inappropriate content.

Below are some helpful links to help you ensure that your child is safe when online.

You can download a simple checklist here that may help you start to engage with your child about their internet use and the things they can do to stay safe online.

This presentation was shared during our e-safety meetings for parents. It is full of useful tips and information.

These step-by-step guides have been compiled using information from internetmatters.org. They will enable you to set up parental controls on a number of different devices.
