More about the Governors

Elizabeth Blake

As Head Teacher, I work closely with the Local Committee in terms of developing the strategic vision and direction for the school. I work with LCMs on setting and monitoring the school budget, recruitment, data analysis, buildings and premises, safeguarding and a range of other areas and value their range of expertise greatly. I became Head Teacher of Bickley in January 2017, but have been the Head Teacher of schools in Croydon before this one and have been a member of 5 Governing Bodies

Lisa Warren

My two children attend Bickley, and like many parents I’ve really enjoyed playing an active role in the school community. My professional experience was built from a background in HR and I now work in business operations, which includes corporate governance, business development and finance. I am Chair of the Local Committee.

Sarah Laughton

Three of my children have been lucky enough to attend Bickley, and I’ve always enjoyed being involved with various activities at the school over the years. My career background is in Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing. I am the Inclusion Local Committee Member.

Max Fishel

I have 40 years’ experience of working in state education, split between 21 years’ mainstream teaching in London comprehensives, then 19 years in the field of special education, specifically with children and young people with physical disabilities. I have also worked in the NHS. I retired in 2018 and now attend and contribute to All Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) on Disability, Education and the Teaching Profession, am a National Committee member for the organisation pdnet, and also contribute to teacher training. I am the Achievement Local Committee member.

Roy Chambers

I currently work with Y5 and have responsibility for History throughout the school. I am interested in developing the whole child and run a variety of after school clubs, such as gardening and board games club. I look forward to working with all concerned for the betterment of the children in our care. I am the Staff Local Committee Member.

Jill Ludbrook

My two grandsons attend Bickley Primary School.  I have worked in education for many years in senior management in the secondary sector. I am now retired and have become interested in Primary Schools.  I’m also a Parish Councillor and on the Boards of a number of Educational Trusts.  At Bickley, I am the Local Committee member for Safeguarding, Attendance and Welfare.

Emilie Macmullen

I am a parent at Bickley and love our wonderful community of parents and carers. I am an IT Project Manager and Business Analyst by trade and feel passionate about building local communities, volunteering for Greener & Cleaner Bromley (& Beyond), Friends of Widmore Green Spaces as well as Friend of Bickley Primary School. I am the Vice Chair and Local Committee member for Resources and Provision.
