Governors
Welcome to our Governor Page.
We hope to use this space to explain the role of the governors’ and how we work to support the school. Whilst Miss Blake and her staff are responsible for the day-to-day running of the school, governors provide strategic management and act as a critical friend.
Our Governing body is made up of staff, parent, and community governors, with a wide range of skills and experience. We also have some governors who are appointed (or co-opted) by the Governing Body for a particular skill.
Governors are required to attend a full Governing body meeting once a term. The governors are all unpaid volunteers.
We work with the Head teacher and staff to:
- Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school
- Hold them to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff
- Oversee the financial performance of the school and make sure it’s money is well spent
Contacting us:
If you would like to contact the Chair of Governors, please email admin.office@bickley.bromley.sch.uk and your query will be passed on.
Parents can also come along to one of our Governor coffee mornings to find out more about what we do.
The Governing Board sign an annual declaration of pecuniary interests at the beginning of the academic year and then cover any changes as an agenda item during each governing body meeting. There are currently no interests to be declared.
